Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Clean the interior and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, or highly perfumed cleaning products as these can damage the surface and leave a strong smell.
Defrosting
Ensure the defrost water can flow freely by cleaning the drain hole of the water trough regularly. Use the special cleaner provided. If the fridge is not defrosting correctly, adjust the thermostat to a lower setting to allow automatic defrosting.
Temperature Setting
Set the thermostat to an intermediate position (3-4) for best results. Adjust based on room temperature, door opening frequency, and food quantity. If the compressor runs continuously, select a lower temperature setting.
Avoid Overloading
Do not store warm food or evaporating liquids. Cover or wrap food to maintain efficiency and prevent strong odors. Avoid letting meat juices drip onto other foods.
Positioning
Install the appliance away from heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight. Ensure proper ventilation around the appliance. Allow it to settle for 2 hours after installation before turning it on.
